This service is designed for enquiries involving the composition, construction or condition of porcelain and related high-fired ceramics. The examination plan is selected according to the object's surface, accessibility and the client's research question.
Visual documentation and non-destructive observations are prioritised. If sampling or an external instrumental measurement is considered useful, the scope, handling route and limitations are explained before authorisation.
The written report distinguishes observation, analytical result and interpretation so that the basis of each statement remains clear.

Send overall and detail photographs, approximate dimensions, known treatment history and the question you want the examination to address. Do not send an object until delivery has been agreed.
