AMS Radiocarbon Dating Coordination

Suitability review and coordinated measurement for small, appropriate organic samples.

Price: quotation confirmed in writing after photographic review

Accelerator mass spectrometry may be appropriate when a small quantity of suitable organic material is available. The relationship between the sample and the object or context must be evaluated before the date can be meaningfully interpreted.

The pre-submission review considers sample identity, likely contamination, documentation and material quantity. Any third-party measurement arrangement is disclosed in the quotation and report.

Reported radiocarbon results include the measurement basis and the relevant calibrated range; they should not be read as a single exact calendar year.

Before you submit

Send overall and detail photographs, approximate dimensions, known treatment history and the question you want the examination to address. Do not send an object until delivery has been agreed.

What you receive

The agreed deliverable may include image documentation, method notes, observations and a clearly scoped written report. No conclusion is issued without completing the agreed work.
